ABA Natural North America Pro Connor LaVallie

Just 23 years old, Connor LaVallie won the overall at John Hansen's Natural North America competition in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Conner won his pro card, beating out some very tough competition. He's now getting ready for Team USA, which chooses the team to represent the U.S. in the INBA Natural Olympia later this year.

Here's some of Connor's 'I'm Coming Back' 2011 Contest Preparation Journal: My name is Connor LaVallie. I'm 23 years old, 6'3'' and about 210 pounds currently. I decided to start a new journal here detailing my journey to the stage for the second time in the last 2.5 years. I competed in 2008 at the Mid-America ProAm in Evansville, IN where I took 1st in the Men's Tall novice and 1st in the collegiate class. I competed again the following week in the Natural North Americans where I won the Junior class (20-21 year olds) and took 2nd in the men's tall class. I fell in love with the process and couldn't wait to make some new gains and try my shot at the Open classes. However, there were other ventures I needed to pursue…

Immediately after my first shows, I spent 4 month and 2 month stints in Italy and China for school and graduation from January 2009- May 2010. These were some of the greatest experiences of my life, but finding gyms and the right kinds of foods was next to impossible out there. Bodybuilding and fitness is the last thing anyone cares about in these other regions…… however, I believe living there just made me that much hungrier, and more appreciative of what we have back here in the United States. Progress took a backseat temporarily, but when I returned to the U.S. in June of 2010 I went from 190-225 pounds in 6 months and stayed somewhat close to the same body fat. I knew I improved my physique in the correct spots…. So I decided to come back and keep this ball rolling.

IFPA Pro Natural Champion Valentine Ezugha visits with hosts John Hansen and Mike "Superhuman" Neumann.

Valentine made his Natural Bodybuilding professional debut only a few weeks ago and came away the overall winner at the IFPA Pro International. Possessing great muscle shape and symmetry, Valentine is a rising star in the natural bodybuilding world and he discusses his training and nutrition philosophy with John and Mike.

In the opening segment, the feedback from last week's controversial interview with Mike Arnold is the topic along with the results of the recent INBA Team USA Championships held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Young Champs of the 2010 ABA Natural North America

This week on Natural Bodybuilding Radio, hosts John Hansen and Mike Neumann welcome the new young champions from the 2010 ABA Natural North America. First, they talk to 19 year old Wali Khan, Teenage Natural North America Champ, and 20 year old Mohsin Khan, Novice Men Overall winner, about their training and nutrition programs to look so good at such a young age.

Then, the beautiful Maria Annunziata joins John and Mike for details on her contest prep to win the Figure Overall at the Natural North America.

Finally, Bikini Diva and Sports Model champ Alaina Ravens explains how she was able to pull off a double victory in her contest debut at the young age of only 20 years old.

My name is Shaun Clarida. I am a WNBF Natural Professional Bodybuilder. I have been competing in bodybuilding shows since 2005. I have competed with the NPC, USBF, INBF and I am currently competing with the WNBF, which is the pro category to the INBF. Prior to bodybuilding, I wrestled for 4 years: Two years at Hackensack High School and two years for Rider University .

I’m currently a graduate student at Rider University studying Organizational Leadership. I reside in Hackensack , NJ , Where I have loving & supporting parents, an older brother and a younger sister. I have a loving fiancé, Mallory McCarthy, who like my other family members, support me to the fullest. With God and my family in my corner, I can do anything.

Bodybuilding to me is not just a hobby or a sport; it’s a job and a way of life. In order to be the best at this sport, you have to be willing to give your all 24/7, 365. There is no such thing as an off-season in this sport. In order to achieve your goal, you have to be willing to sacrifice. Coming soon, hosts John Hansen and Mike Neumann offer a preview of the INBA Natural Universe and visit with young contender Brent Swanson. Brent’s a strong competitor, only 23 years old and deals with Type-1 diabetes.

Brent’s from Decatur Illinois and met John and Mike at, among other events the Natural Illinois Bodybuilding Championships. What has Brent encountered on his way up? What special challenges does he face as a diabetic. What do you think his chances are against the likes of favorite (and recent guest) Kiyoshi Moody, and others?

He’s looking great and is now preparing to make his big debut on the World Stage at the INBA Natural Universe.

Thomas Anderson, Natural Champion

Thomas Anderson is an intense competitor. As a youngster, Thomas was “a skinny kid” when he began working out. In the last four years he has learned what works for him and what doesn’t when it comes to Natural Body Building.

Thomas Anderson is the ABA 2008 Natural North America Champion and was the short class winner at the 2008 Natural Olympia. His is one of the rising stars in the sport of natural bodybuilding and, at the young age
of 23 years old, the best is yet to come. Thomas has superb genetics for bodybuilding and his combination of shape, size and hardness is extremely hard to defeat.

Thomas is midway in earning his Masters in Sports Nutrition in Tennessee and figures he will turn pro in the ABA this year.

Looking forward, Thomas’ goals include winning all of the major INBA titles in 2010! A large undertaking but given his genetics and work ethic, he may just do it.

John Hansen has dubbed Thomas “The Natural Giant-killer”; and with a great attitude and fun spirit, this young champion is working hard and “loving everything about it”; from dieting to the competition experience, to meeting new people.
